Best Directory Submission Service of 2026: 15 Services Compared

By Ryan Jacob, GTM Lead at SubmiUpdated 20 minute read

Key takeaways

  • Submi is the best directory submission service of 2026. It sells a number of live listings, not submissions: 100 for $99 USD or 300 for $399, paid once.
  • Most services sell attempts. Only 2 of the 15 here commit to a live-listing count: Submi and ListingBott. Submi does it at $0.99 per live listing; the other costs $2.99.
  • Proof is the real difference. Many services send screenshots of submitted forms. Submi counts a listing only after opening its page and finding your link, and shows you the URL.
  • It's fast. A recent customer, Chickadee Bandit, reached 103 live listings against a target of 100, passing the target in 3 days. Read the review.
  • Avoid Fiverr gigs for anything that matters. You usually get screenshots, and no one tracks what goes live after the report arrives.

What is a directory submission service?

A directory submission service lists your product on online directories for you: startup, SaaS and AI tool directories, launch sites and software review sites. You give it your product details once, and it deals with the accounts, forms, email confirmations and follow-ups for each one.

What it is not: it isn't a ranking guarantee, a link-buying scheme or a replacement for a good product. A directory listing is a public page with a link to your site. It can bring your first referring domains, some visitors, and a place for buyers and AI assistants to find you. Google treats low-quality directory links as spam, so where you're listed matters more than how many forms were filled in.

How we ranked these services

We read each service's own pricing page and FAQ, then scored what it commits to in writing. The order reflects these five questions, most important first:

  • What are you actually promised? A number of live listings beats a number of submissions, because a rejected submission still counts against what you bought.
  • What proof do you get? A live URL you can open beats a screenshot of a form you can't check.
  • What does each promised unit cost? We divide the price by the units promised, and say whether those units are live listings or submissions.
  • Can you see progress? A live dashboard beats a report at the end.
  • How clear is the timing? We note what the stated clock actually measures: forms sent, or listings live.

We left out services that aren't selling right now. GetMoreBacklinks, for example, showed “new orders are currently unavailable”.

The 15 best directory submission services, reviewed

1. Submi

Best suited to: SaaS, AI and startup founders who want a number of live listings they can open and check, not a report of forms filled in.

Submi is the best directory submission service you can buy in 2026, and the reason is simple. Every other service on this list that costs under $299 sells you attempts. We sell the outcome: a set number of live listings, each one with a URL you can open. If a directory rejects your product or never publishes it, that doesn't come out of your number. We submit somewhere else, at no extra cost, until your plan is full.

Example of the Submi dashboard, with example data: live listings, listings in review, indexed listings and index credits, with each directory's live URL, link type and indexing status

Pricing

  • Foundation: $99 USD once. 100 live listings and 10 index credits. That's $0.99 per live listing.
  • Authority: $399 USD once. 300 live listings, with every live listing indexed. That's $1.33 per live listing.

Why it ranks first

  • Live is measured, not claimed. A listing counts only after we open its page and find your link. When a plain page read can't see the link, a real Chrome browser looks again, because many modern directories build their pages in the browser. That second look is why our count matches what you'd see yourself.
  • You can check every one. The dashboard shows each directory, its status, its link type and its live URL as it happens, and exports to CSV. You never have to take a screenshot's word for it.
  • The lowest price for a live-listing commitment. $0.99 per live listing against $2.99 for the only other service that commits to one.
  • The largest commitment. 300 live listings is three times the next largest promise on this list.
  • No forms or logins for you. You approve one product profile. We create and keep the directory accounts, deal with the confirmation emails and follow up.
  • You can see the list before it runs. Pick the directories you want from the directory database, which tracks 2,948 directories (checked 26 Oct 2026). We aim for each one, and swap in another if one can't take your product.
  • Indexing is built in. A listing Google never sees does little for you. Authority indexes every live listing, and index credits on Foundation are returned automatically if a listing isn't indexed in time.
  • A free way to start. The free gap analysis shows which directories your competitors are on and you aren't.

What to know before you buy

  • No promised DR or ranking. We won't promise a specific Domain Rating, because no one controls that. We promise the listings.
  • Not every link is dofollow. Directories set that themselves. We show you the type on each listing.

2. ListingBott

Best suited to: Founders who want a hands-off, month-long drip and a written DR target for a new site.

The only other service here that commits to a live-listing count. Its FAQ says it will replace failed listings “to maintain our promise of 100 live listings”.

ListingBott pricing section showing the $299 plan with 100 hand-picked listings
ListingBott's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $299 USD for 100 hand-picked listings, marked as a discount from $499. The page says the price rises with its customer count, up to $999.
  • A lower $99 plan lists on 20 directories a month.
  • Written DR promise: “from 0 to 15 within 2 months” of the report. For sites already at DR 15 or above it says it “can't predict an exact outcome”.
  • The page offers a “full refund if you're not satisfied”.
  • Method: AI research, then a mix of people and a publishing bot, by its own description. Per unit: $2.99 per live listing.

Worth knowing: At $2.99 per promised live listing it costs about three times Submi's Foundation plan, and the process takes up to 5 weeks. You see weekly updates rather than each listing as it appears.

3. List My Site

Best suited to: Founders who like a slow, steady submission pace and a shared sheet to watch.

A single, simple offer: 100 manual submissions, paced over 10 days, tracked in a sheet with links as they go live.

List My Site pricing section showing $169 for 100 directory submissions
List My Site's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $169 USD one-time for 100 submissions. A banner also offers 60 for $99.
  • “7-10 submissions per day”, so the work doesn't all land at once.
  • A tracking sheet from day one, with “live submission links and screenshots”.
  • Its footer lists a money-back guarantee; the terms weren't on the page we read.
  • Method: Manual. Per unit: $1.69 per submission.

Worth knowing: It sells submissions, not live listings, so what you end up with depends on what each directory approves. Nothing on the page commits to a final live count.

4. LaunchDirectories

Best suited to: Founders who care more about a short curated list than a large one, and want the logins handed over.

A manual service with a good report: live links, screenshots proving each submission, and the logins for accounts it creates.

LaunchDirectories packages at $99, $149 and $199
LaunchDirectories's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $99, $149 or $199 USD for 30+, 60+ or 100+ directories.
  • “4-6 days” listed as average delivery.
  • States “acceptance rates of 80-95%” as a target, without promising it.
  • Method: Manual. Per unit: $1.99 to $3.30 per submission.

Worth knowing: At $1.99 to $3.30 per directory it's one of the pricier manual options, and it makes no commitment to a number of live listings.

5. StartupSubmit

Best suited to: Founders who put a written DR target ahead of a live-listing count.

A well-known manual service that competes on DR targets. It reports “1,600+ startups submitted” and a 20-person team.

StartupSubmit homepage with its Authority plan offer of 200+ directories
StartupSubmit's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $99, $199 or $299 USD for 60+, 150+ or 200+ directories, shown as discounts from $199, $399 and $699.
  • Written targets on the upper plans: “DR 0–20+ guaranteed” on Growth and “DR 30+ guaranteed” on Authority, with “extra submissions at no cost until you reach DR 30”.
  • Authority adds an account manager, badge management and one Reddit post.
  • The page offers a money-back guarantee and refers to its terms for conditions.
  • Method: Manual, “no bots”, by a team it puts at 20. Per unit: $1.33 to $1.65 per submission.

Worth knowing: Its own wording is clear about the limit: it guarantees “the number of submissions promised”, and not “approval by any single directory, dofollow links, Google rankings, traffic”. Proof is screenshots of submissions, so you can't count your live listings from the plan alone.

6. DirPilot

Best suited to: Founders who want an indexing report built in.

A manual service with one of the more honest process descriptions. It reports which listings are live, dofollow and indexed.

DirPilot pricing section with Economy, Business and First plans
DirPilot's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $99, $149 or $199 USD for 30+, 60+ or 100+ directories. The upper plans include paid directories.
  • “If a directory rejects your product, we replace it with one of similar authority.”
  • Reports which pages Google has indexed at day 30.
  • Method: Manual. Per unit: $1.99 to $3.30 per submission.

Worth knowing: The price per directory is high at the entry plan ($3.30), and the FAQ says “no one can promise every approval”, so the count stays a count of attempts.

7. SubmitWell

Best suited to: Tight budgets that want the lowest cost per submission from a manual service.

The cheapest manual option we found: as low as $0.50 per directory.

SubmitWell pricing at $35, $59 and $99
SubmitWell's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $35, $59 or $99 USD for 50, 100 or 200 directories.
  • Guaranteed DR targets on each plan: 0 to 10+, 0 to 20+ and 0 to 30+.
  • A 30-day money-back guarantee if it fails to deliver the submissions as promised.
  • Method: Manual, “zero bots”. Per unit: $0.49 to $0.70 per submission.

Worth knowing: “Final acceptance depends on each directory editorial process”, so the low price buys attempts. Compare it per live listing, not per submission, before calling it the cheapest.

8. ListingSaaS

Best suited to: Founders who want a large manual package at a fixed price and a dashboard.

Strong value per submission for a manual service, with a tracking dashboard and link types identified.

ListingSaaS pricing with Launch at $99 and Full Coverage at $149
ListingSaaS's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $99 or $149 USD for 100 or 200 directories.
  • Full Coverage resubmits rejections free for 30 days and names a person on your account.
  • A “timestamped screenshot of every form”.
  • “Full refund any time before we submit.”
  • Method: Manual. Per unit: $0.74 to $0.99 per submission.

Worth knowing: Third-party approvals “typically take 4 to 8 weeks”, and the listed outcome is a typical DR range, not a commitment. Directories that charge a listing fee are excluded.

9. SaaSCity

Best suited to: Founders who want many directories at a low price and can wait two weeks.

A low price per directory, with a useful report format and an open-ended DR commitment.

SaaSCity plans: Growth, Storm and Superstorm
SaaSCity's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $69.30, $125.30 or $199 USD with the discount code the page applies, for 100, 150 or 270 directories.
  • “We guarantee your site's Domain Rating goes up”, with no specific number promised.
  • Refunds are available only “until work starts”.
  • Method: Not stated; “one submission per directory, written for its fields”. Per unit: $0.69 to $0.84 per submission.

Worth knowing: “Each directory decides whether to list a product”, and it says it can't promise indexing or dofollow links. A two-week wait for submissions alone is on the slow side.

10. Submitator

Best suited to: Low budgets that are comfortable with pure automation and a smaller catalogue.

The cheapest way in, and upfront that it is software. You pick the directories yourself.

Submitator pricing cards at $29, $49 and $79
Submitator's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • From $29 USD for 30 directories up to $149 for all 160 in its catalogue.
  • A real-time dashboard showing pending, submitted, approved or needing attention.
  • Undelivered directories are refunded proportionally; a rejection is credited as one extra directory.
  • Method: Browser automation. Per unit: $0.79 to $0.97 per submission.

Worth knowing: With 160 directories in its catalogue it can't serve a plan of hundreds. Its FAQ says DR growth isn't guaranteed, and automation can't get through directories that need a person.

11. SubmitSaaS

Best suited to: Founders who need submissions out quickly and will check approvals themselves.

The fastest stated turnaround among the human-reviewed services, at a flat $1 per directory.

SubmitSaaS plans at $60, $100 and $140
SubmitSaaS's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $60, $100 or $140 USD for 60+, 100+ or 140+ directories. Paid directories are excluded.
  • DR figures (up to 10, 15, 20) are described as “potential targets”.
  • Method: Automation with human review. Per unit: $1 per submission.

Worth knowing: Its FAQ is direct: “we do not provide a list of approved submissions”. After the 48 hours, finding out what actually went live is your job.

12. ScrollLaunch

Best suited to: Founders already launching on its weekly board who want a submission add-on.

A launch board with a submission service attached, rather than a dedicated submission company.

ScrollLaunch pricing page showing its directory submission plan from $99
ScrollLaunch's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $99, $149 or $199 USD for 30+, 60+ or 100+ directories.
  • “Done-for-you manual submission” with a report of live links.
  • Method: Manual. Per unit: $1.99 to $3.30 per submission.

Worth knowing: The pricing page states no turnaround and no commitment on outcomes.

13. BoringLaunch

Best suited to: Founders prepared to pay more for one specific DR refund guarantee.

Sold in weekly slots, with a clear money-back offer on its top plan.

BoringLaunch pricing: Basic, Not Boring and Priority
BoringLaunch's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $149, $249 or $549 USD. The top plan covers 50 to 60 “high quality platforms”.
  • Priority offers a “100% money back guarantee” if Domain Rating doesn't reach 20+ in 30 days.
  • When we read the page it was showing slots “fully booked till 15th Nov”.
  • Method: Not stated. Per unit: $2.49 to $10.98 per submission.

Worth knowing: $549 for 50 to 60 platforms works out above $9 per submission, and the slot system means you may not be able to start when you want to.

14. Submit Juice

Best suited to: Founders who track Moz DA, not DR, and want a small curated list.

A small, curated list with a guarantee on a different metric: Moz Domain Authority.

Submit Juice pricing at $297 and $197 with a free plan
Submit Juice's site, captured 1 Nov 2026.
  • $197 for 20 or $297 USD for 50 directories and websites. A Premium Plus plan is $983.
  • “DA 20+ Guarantee” on Classic and Premium; a free list of 152+ directories for doing it yourself.
  • “We cannot guarantee listings, we can only guarantee our submissions.”
  • Method: Manual. Per unit: $5.94 to $9.85 per submission.

Worth knowing: The most expensive per submission of any service here, at $5.94 to $9.85. It says listings can take “upwards of three months” to appear.

15. Fiverr gigs

Best suited to: Very small budgets, testing a handful of low-stakes directories, with time to check the work yourself.

The cheapest route, and the one where you carry all of the checking.

  • Fiverr's public listing showed 761 directory submission services. Most of the first page is local-business citations for the USA, UK, Canada and Australia, not SaaS directories.
  • One SaaS gig we found offers up to 300 AI directories for about $50 to $100 in 4 days, delivered as a report with screenshots.
  • Sellers say so themselves: “no one can guarantee 100% approval”.
  • Method: Varies by seller. Per unit: $0.17 per submission.

Worth knowing: What you get is usually screenshots of forms, which prove a form was sent and not that a listing exists. The gig's clock stops when the report arrives, so nobody is tracking what happens after that, and turning a screenshot pack into live links is your work. Claims like 300 directories in 4 days are worth reading closely: quality takes time, and many of those directories may not suit your product at all.

A recent Submi customer: Chickadee Bandit

“I'm building Chickadee Bandit, a private hub for households, co-parents and small groups. It has shared calendars, chores, records, messages and a catalog of apps that run inside your household. Getting a new site noticed means setting up a presence in a lot of places, and doing that by hand would have taken me hours, probably days. Submi took care of it quickly and did it well. It covered far more sites than I would have known to look for, which gave us a solid base of background links while I kept working on the product. I'd recommend it to any founder who would rather spend their time building.”

Campaign started 24 Oct 2026. Of those listings, 52 links read as dofollow and 51 as nofollow. Timing depends on your product and on each directory's own review, so yours may run faster or slower.

Submi's listings sit on strong sites, too. Of the 654 we've read so far, the median site has a Domain Rating by Ahrefs of 69, and 411 are at 50 or above.

Which directory submission service fits you?

  • You're launching a SaaS or AI product and want the foundation done properly: Submi Foundation. 100 live listings is a solid base, and you can check each one.
  • You want the widest coverage available: Submi Authority. 300 live listings, all indexed.
  • You mainly want a written DR target: StartupSubmit or SubmitWell put theirs in plain sight. Read the conditions, and note that they still guarantee submissions, not listings.
  • You're on the smallest possible budget: Submitator or SubmitWell, and plan to check the results yourself.
  • You need forms sent within two days: SubmitSaaS, knowing it doesn't report approvals.
  • You run a local business: none of these. Look for a local citation service; much of Fiverr's listing is exactly that.

Submission service, Fiverr gig or do it yourself?

Why not just buy a Fiverr gig?

A gig looks like a bargain until you ask what you're holding at the end. Usually it's a folder of screenshots: proof that a form was sent, on a day, by someone. It doesn't tell you whether the directory approved it, and the turnaround that matters is slow or unknown, because the gig's clock stops when the report arrives while your listings may take weeks or never appear. Gigs generally come with no dashboard and no follow-up after delivery.

Why not do it yourself?

You can, and for your top ten directories you probably should care personally. But each one needs an account, a tailored form, a confirmation email and later a check that it went live. Across 100 directories that adds up to days of work, and most of it is the kind of task that quietly stops getting done.

How to judge any service before you pay

  • Does it promise live listings, or submissions? Look for the exact word.
  • Will you get a URL for each listing, or a screenshot of a form?
  • What happens when a directory rejects you? Is it replaced, credited or just counted?
  • Does the stated turnaround end when forms are sent, or when listings are up?
  • Does a DR promise have conditions: a starting DR, a time limit, a refund only?
  • Can you see the directories before you pay?

Frequently asked questions

What is the best directory submission service in 2026?

Submi is our pick. It's the cheapest service we found that commits to a number of live listings, 100 for $99 or 300 for $399 USD, and it only counts a listing once it has opened the page and found your link. You can check every live URL yourself in the dashboard.

How much does a directory submission service cost?

The 15 services here run from about $29 to over $500 USD, usually as a one-time payment. Per unit that's roughly $0.17 to over $9, but most of those units are submissions rather than live listings, so compare what each price actually buys.

What's the difference between a submission and a live listing?

A submission means a form was sent. A live listing means the directory published a page that links to your site. Directories reject or ignore plenty of submissions, so a plan priced per submission doesn't tell you how many listings you will end up with.

Do directory submissions still help SEO?

Links from relevant, moderated directories can help a new site get found and build its first referring domains, and they put your product where buyers and AI assistants look. They aren't a ranking guarantee, and Google treats low-quality directory links as spam, so which directories you're listed on matters more than how many.

Is a Fiverr gig good enough for directory submission?

Only for a small, low-stakes test where you have time to check the work. Most gigs deliver screenshots of submitted forms rather than live links, sellers disclaim approval, and nothing tracks a listing after the report arrives.

Can a service guarantee a DR increase?

Several promise one, in different wording, often with limits on starting DR or a refund as the remedy. Submi doesn't promise a specific Domain Rating or ranking, because each directory and search engine makes its own decisions. We promise the number of live listings and show you each one.

How long does directory submission take?

Services quote anywhere from 48 hours to 5 weeks, but most of those clocks measure submissions, not published listings, which can take from minutes to several weeks. On Submi, a recent customer passed their target of 100 live listings in days, not weeks, and the review above shows the numbers.

Should I submit to directories myself?

You can, and it's free apart from your time. Expect to spend hours per batch on account creation, email confirmations and forms, then more time checking what went live. A free gap analysis shows which directories your competitors are already on, which is a useful place to start either way.

What happens if a directory rejects my product on Submi?

We submit to another one, at no extra cost, and keep going until your plan's number of live listings is reached. Plans aren't refunded; the remedy is continued work, and that's stated before you pay.

Are all of Submi's listings dofollow?

No, and no honest service can promise that. Each directory sets its own link type. Your dashboard shows the link type we read from each live page.
