Every status belongs to one of four kinds, and each pill carries its word, not only a colour: Live (green), on the way (grey), Needs you (amber) and not listed (red). Only Needs you asks anything of you.
Listing status
The Status column, and the pill in each row's details.
| Status | What it means | Anything for you |
|---|---|---|
| Live | We opened the listing page and found your link. The live URL is on the row. | No |
| Planned | On your list, not sent yet. A person on our team submits it and records the URL once the listing is live. | No |
| Queued | Waiting for its turn with our listing software. | No |
| Listing now | Being submitted right now. | No |
| Submitted | Sent. We check for the listing until it appears. | No |
| Confirming | Sent, and waiting for the directory to confirm it. We check for the listing until it appears. | No |
| In review | In the directory's review queue. We check it for you. | No |
| Waiting on the directory | Waiting on the directory's own schedule. | No |
| In progress | We are finishing this one on our side. | No |
| Needs you | The directory checks for its badge before it lists you, and the badge is not on your site. | Yes: put the badge back, or continue without it |
| Swapped | Swapped for a directory that does not need the badge. | No |
| Replaced | This directory has no free listing, so another directory took its place. | No |
| Not listed | This directory does not list this kind of product. Another takes its place. | No |
| Rejected | The directory declined the listing. We keep working on other directories until your target is met. | No |
Indexing column
What the Indexing column says for each row.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Awaiting live URL | The listing is not live yet, so there is nothing to index. |
| Not checked | Live, and we have not asked about indexing yet. It is not a claim that the page is unindexed. |
| Index now | Live and not indexed: one index credit sends it for indexing. |
| Requested | Sent to the indexing service, waiting for its answer. |
| Indexed | The indexing service confirmed the page is indexed. |
| Not indexed yet | Not indexed after the last request. The credit came back, and you can try again. |
| Automatic indexing | Authority: the listing is sent for indexing for you, with no credit used. |
Link type column
Shown once a listing is live, from what we read on the listing page.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Dofollow | A followed link: it passes authority to your site. |
| Nofollow | The link carries a nofollow mark. It still brings visitors. |
| Not verified | We have not confirmed the link type yet. It is not a claim that the link is nofollow. |
When the whole campaign stops
If a payment is refunded or reversed through your bank, the campaign stops and Listings says so. Listings that are already live stay where they are. If that is a mistake, email hello@submi.io.
Questions
- Why has a row said In progress for a long time?
- In progress means the next move is ours, not yours and not the directory's. Nothing is needed from you; we finish it or replace the directory.
- A row says Needs you. What do I do?
- Open Badge Sync, paste the snippet back into your site's footer and press Check my site. If you would rather go without the badge, continue without it there; those directories are swapped and your target stays the same.
